About the Role
As Nurse Unit Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day clinical and operational management of our 32-bed unit, predominantly Surgical patients, supported by a team of CNs, RNs, & EENs, working closely with the multidisciplinary team and Visiting Medical Officers. Reporting to the Director of Clinical Services, and as a part of the management team, you will work with and support nursing staff in achieving excellence in care delivery in line with best practice and legislative requirements.
About You
• To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong clinical skillset, with recent management experience, in a hospital setting with experience in the surgical nursing specialty area.
• You will have exceptional communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent client care and customer service.
You will also bring
• Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
• Minimum eight years' post graduate experience
• Proven knowledge as a senior nurse or manager
• Management or relevant post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.
• Experience or exposure to managing clinical staff recruitment, rostering, and performance management.
• Ability to effectively plan and manage financial, human and capital resources.
• Membership to a relevant professional organisation is desirable.
