About the Role

We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and experienced Home Care Package Support Workers who are fluent in Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese preferred). You will be supporting older clients in their own homes with personal care, domestic assistance, and companionship to help them maintain independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Personal care including showering, toileting, and dressing
  • Manual handling and mobility assistance (hoist training an advantage)
  • Assistance with hygiene, grooming, and continence support
  • Light domestic duties and meal preparation
  • Social support and companionship
  • Following tailored care plans and maintaining accurate notes

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Current NDIS Worker check, Police Check, and Working with Children's Check.
  • Certificate of NDIS Worker Orientation Program.
  • A current First Aid Certificate and CPR certification.
  • A valid Australian Driver's License & Reliable Car.
  • A minimum of a Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field.
  • Experience working with people with Mental health disability and challenging behaviour.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably within the NDIS framework.
  • Ability to provide 2 current/recent work-related references.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with diverse clients.
  • A compassionate, empathetic, and patient approach to supporting individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and resilience in challenging situations.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a PCA (Personal Care Assistant) or similar role
  • Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Individual Support, or equivalent
  • Experience in aged care or complex care
  • Fluent in Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese) – essential
  • Willingness and ability to perform intimate personal care tasks
  • Valid Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Current Police Check, First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • COVID-19 Vaccination (as required by regulation)
