Senior Accreditation OfficerExciting opportunity to make a real impact in shaping the future of the Office of the Children's Guardian.Join our high performing Out of Home Care Regulation Directorate, a dedicated team that plays a key role in keeping kids safe in NSW.Full-time, ongoing opportunity with flexible working arrangementsClerk Grade 9/10 - $129,464- $142,665 (plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading).Location: Strawberry Hills office and occasional travel to various locations within NSW.About the Office of Children's GuardianThe Office of the Children's Guardian (OCG) upholds NSW children and young people's right to be safe by overseeing, regulating and monitoring organisations and individuals who provide services to children. We are guided by our values of integrity, trust, service, accountability, respect and empathy. Out of Home Care Regulation DirectorateStatutory out-of-home care is when the Children's Court has made an order allocating parental responsibility for a child or young person to the Minister for Community Services. The order requires the child or young person to live with a person who is not their parent in a place which is not their parental home, such as foster or residential care. Adoption is where an adoption order has been made by the Supreme Court of NSW to legally transfer all parental rights and responsibilities, guardianship and custody from parents of a child or young person to adoptive parents. We provide oversight of the agencies that provide statutory out-of-home care and adoption services through our accreditation program which includes compliance with OOHC registers and assesses organisations against the the Code of Practice for Designated Agencies and Adoption Service Providers.About the roleThe Senior Accreditation Officer participates and leads in the implementation of systems, policies, procedures and processes for the accreditation and monitoring of out of home care and adoption agencies. The role contributes to the development and continuous improvement of the accreditation and monitoring systems and processes so that they are effective and efficient.We are seeking a motivated and resilient person with the following key skills:Manage complex and sensitive matters with competing and shifting priorities in a high-volume environment where confidentiality and discretion are key.Develop and maintain effective and trusting relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.Monitor agency compliance and performance against legislative and agreed frameworks through desktop assessment and onsite visits.For further information about the role, please href="">here to view the role description.Key knowledge and experienceExcellent verbal and written communication, project planning and management, organisational and negotiation skills.Proven ability to build trust, influence and communicate effectively at both a strategic and operational level, applying a commercial and customer mindset, and creatively problem solving.Essential requirement of the roleTertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent knowledge and workplace experience including ongoing professional development.Capacity and willingness to undertake frequent travel across NSW with regular overnight stays.Employment at the Office of the Children's Guardian is subject to the satisfactory completion of security and vetting checks.All roles associated with the Office of the Children's Guardian are required to have a current NSW Working with Children Check.Employee BenefitsThere are a range of benefits available to employees of the Office of the Children's Guardian including a competitive remuneration package, health and safety initiatives.
