Donald Swimming is seeking an experienced and motivated Head Coach to lead our coaching team at the Macgregor Pool. This is a full-time position for someone passionate about swimmer development, program growth, and maintaining high standards both in and around the pool.

About the Role:

As Head Coach, you will oversee all coaching programs from our junior squads through to national-level swimmers. You will play a key role in planning and delivering high-quality training sessions, mentoring assistant coaches, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the pool facility. This position combines both coaching and operational responsibilities, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the success and culture of our club.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire coaching program, from junior development through to national-level athletes.
  • Deliver engaging, structured, and effective training sessions.
  • Mentor and support other coaching staff to ensure program consistency and quality.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the pool facility, ensuring it is kept to a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Work closely with management to drive program growth and community engagement.
  • Attend swim meets and lead the team at competitions and events.

About You:

  • A passionate leader with a proven track record in swim coaching and program management.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to motivate both swimmers and staff.
  • Organised, reliable, and committed to maintaining high professional and facility standards.
  • Able to balance coaching excellence with operational oversight.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Current ASCTA Bronze Licence (or higher) or equivalent swim coach accreditation.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, and Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
  • Experience managing or coordinating a swim program or aquatic facility preferred.
