Haven Therapeutic Services is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred support that empowers people with disabilities to lead meaningful, independent lives. We provide Behaviour Support, Therapeutic Support, and Disability Employment Coaching under the NDIS. Our mission is to create a safe place for people to heal, grow, and achieve their goals.

At this time, Haven is expanding its team for long-term, ongoing supports. Therefore, only applicants with full, unrestricted working rights in Australia will be considered. Applicants with temporary or restricted working rights (including student, bridging, or working holiday visas) are not eligible for this position.

We are currently seeking compassionate and reliable Support Workers and Employment Coaches to join our team in Geraldton and the Midwest region. This is a hybrid role where you will offer both employment coaching and support work to assist participants throughout their employment or training journey. You will help participants build skills, find and maintain employment (including micro-enterprise opportunities), and participate fully in their communities.

Please note: Mornings, afternoons and some weekend work may be required, depending on participant needs.

About the Role

As a Support Worker / Employment Coach with Haven, you will:

• Provide individualised, person-centred support in all areas of training and employment

• Assist participants with job-seeking skills, resume writing, interview preparation, and navigating employment opportunities

• Support participants to explore and develop micro-enterprise opportunities

• Offer on-the-job coaching and workplace support to help participants maintain employment

• Support daily living skills, social inclusion activities, and community access and increase independent capacity where relevant

• Work within a strengths-based, trauma-informed framework promoting participant choice and control

• Collaborate with Behaviour Support Practitioners, therapists, families, employers, and other stakeholders

• Complete documentation and reporting in line with NDIS Practice Standards

Mandatory Requirements

• Full and unrestricted rights to work in Australia (temporary working rights will not be considered)

• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)

• Working with Children Check (WA)

• National Police Clearance (within 12 months)

• Provide First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)

• Current driver's licence and reliable, insured vehicle (some travel may apply)

Required Employee Information & Identification

• Completed Employee Details Form (attached)

• Copy of Driver's Licence (front and back)

• Copy of Working with Children Check

• Copy of NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

• Recent National Police Clearance

• Up-to-date Immunisation Statement (via myGov)

• Copy of Vehicle Insurance Policy (Certificate of Currency or full policy)

Required Certifications

• Current First Aid Certificate (completed within the last 3 years)

• Current CPR Certificate (within the last 12 months)

• NDIS Orientation Module Certificate

• NDIS Induction Module Certificate

• NDIS Supporting Effective Communication Certificate

• NDIS Supporting Safe and Enjoyable Meals Certificate

If you have not yet completed the NDIS modules, they can be accessed via the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission website.

Highly Regarded

• Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, Mental Health, Community Services, or equivalent

• Experience in disability support, employment services, coaching, or mental health

• Knowledge of the NDIS, person-centred planning, and behaviour support approaches

• Experience supporting small business or micro-enterprise development
