About the role

Ethical Supports Group Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated Community Worker - Support Worker to join our team based in Perth, WA 6000. This is a casual role, offering the flexibility to work around your schedule and commitments. As a Community Worker - Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and individualised support to our clients within the aged and disability support community.

What you'll be doing

  1. Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, medication management, and meal preparation
  2. Accompanying clients to appointments, social activities, and community events to promote their independence and wellbeing
  3. Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, ensuring they feel heard, valued, and respected
  4. Collaborating with clients, their families, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalised support plans
  5. Maintaining accurate and detailed records of client interactions and progress
  6. Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and safety protocols to ensure the highest standard of care

What we're looking for

  1. Relevant qualifications in aged care, disability support, or a related field (Preferred)
  2. Previous experience working in a community-based support role, preferably within the disability sectors
  3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients
  4. Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine dedication to improving the lives of others
  5. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
  6. Reliable, flexible, and adaptable to the changing needs of our clients
  7. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle (Required)
