About the RoleRuah is proud to deliver the Karlup Service, a holistic, wraparound recovery-based model aimed at supporting women and children to heal from family and domestic violence. The Karlup Service provides a range of offerings from a state-of-the-art purpose-built facility just outside Perth's CBD.
The Karlup Service includes a Crèche, which provides a safe place for children to be cared for while their mothers or carers are accessing other services within the building.
Reporting to the Crèche Coordinator, the Creche Worker will be responsible for providing childcare to clients of the Karlup Service, helping to ensure a safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate environment for children.
We are seeking someone to fulfil this role on a part-time 0.5 FTE basis, 40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm
What we're looking forThe successful applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:
- Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- Crèche or childcare experience in a similar community care setting and an understanding of how to provide quality care to children who have experienced family and domestic violence or other trauma.
- Demonstrated understanding of the developmental and care needs of children.
- Excellent verbal communication skills, and ability to use these effectively when communicating with children, parents, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of diversity and social inclusion- including general, sexuality, disability, cultural, age and linguistic diversity and Aboriginal Culture.

- A pro-rata salary based on Level 2 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), commencing at $68,549, pro rata.
