Senior Technical Document Writer, Sydney

We are seeking an experienced
Technical Document Writer
to produce high-quality documentation for projects in the
health sector
and
contact centre
environments. The role will focus on creating clear, accurate, and user-friendly technical specifications, process documents, and operational guides.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain technical documents, specifications, and process guides for health and contact centre projects.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate documentation.
  • Work closely with project managers, solution architects, developers, and subject matter experts to gather and validate content.
  • Ensure documentation meets organisational standards, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain version control and manage documentation updates throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the preparation of training materials, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a
    Technical Writer
    or
    Technical Document Specialist
    in IT or business transformation projects.
  • Experience creating
    technical specifications
    for solutions involving health sector systems and/or contact centre platforms.
  • Strong ability to understand and document complex systems, workflows, and integrations.
  • Proficiency with documentation tools (MS Word, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar).
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.

Desirable

  • Experience working in regulated environments (health, government, or finance).
  • Familiarity with ITIL, Agile delivery, or project management frameworks.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance standards and data privacy regulations.
