Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future.

Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a

multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.

What You'll Do

This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including:

• Draft engineering content for C2D2 ASDEFCON templates; ASDEFCON experience is essential.

• Apply systems engineering expertise to support Defence acquisition and sustainment best practices.

• Work within agile Defence project environments to deliver high-quality engineering outcomes.

• Attend workshops and consult with project leads to shape C2D2 content and strategy.

• Finalise ASDEFCON artefacts and contribute to C2D2 correspondence and discussions.

What You'll Bring

• Draft engineering content for the C2D2 ASDEFCON template; ASDEFCON experience is essential.

• Apply systems engineering expertise to shape best practices for Defence acquisition and sustainment.

• Contribute to the development of ASDEFCON artefacts aligned with C2D2 methodology.

• Collaborate in agile Defence project environments to support iterative engineering delivery.

• Engage with stakeholders and project leads to refine content and ensure alignment with C2D2 objectives.

Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum
Negative Vetting 1
or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
