Coex Capital is a new to market specialist prime equipment financier who offers a single product (chattel mortgage) with distribution exclusive to accredited commercial finance brokers. Our core borrowers are SMEs in the engineering & construction, mining services, manufacturing, transport and logistics sectors seeking finance for high quality, revenue generating assets.
Our mission is to deliver broker-focused service for equipment finance solutions which respects and values the brokers' relationship with their client, the Coex Capital borrower. This is achieved by providing a predictable and consistent service in a convenient, and customer focused way.

The Role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, managing the accreditation, and servicing the requirements of accredited specialist Equipment Finance brokers to maximise Coex Capital's share of wallet opportunity.
The role is responsible for the achievement of sales targets and Net Promoter Score ("NPS") deliverables, including developing and executing approved strategic plans, customised to a portfolio of key brokers.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter who wants to fuel growth for a fast-paced company that will fundamentally change the service levels provided to brokers in the Australian Equipment Finance sector. They are expected to always display the highest levels of professionalism and integrity with the strictest adherence to policy and legislative requirements.
Responsibilities
- Development of a targeted growth strategy focused on both financial deliverables, internal and external stakeholder satisfaction (NPS).
- Convert strategically aligned brokers from prospects to accredited partners.
- Complete broker face to face meetings in line with monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
- Promote Coex Capital's value proposition and differentiation, addressing broker objections.
- Ensure all broker engagement and support activities are recorded and managed through Coex Capital's CRM platform (salesforce).
- Collaboratively engage with internal stakeholders including Credit, Settlement and Operations to exceed broker expectations while protecting the interest of Coex Capital shareholders.
- In conjunction with internal stakeholders ensure that a collaborative "One Coex Capital Team" is always presented to brokers demonstrating we work as one team to drive high performance and a broker centric workplace.
- Provide support to internal stakeholders at the application, settlement or collections stages to protect the Coex Capital shareholder.
- Provide brokers with timely responses to all enquiries.
- Understand and work with Coex Capital Loan Agreements, processes and products to address all broker enquiries and questions.
- Maintain a strong awareness of key industry trends and be a subject matter expert to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Delivery of financial and non-financial key performance indicators which are monitored monthly.
Experience
- 5 years' experience in a sales environment within the financial services / banking industry
- Proven track record of exceeding sales target
- Current or previous Equipment Finance experience will be viewed favourably.
- Knowledge and relationships within the Equipment Finance broking network will be viewed favourably.
Skills
- Excellent presentation, oral and written communications skills.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM.
- Very high attention to detail, able to work with minimal oversight and maintain commitment to timelines and monthly KPI's.
- Ability to investigate, problem solve and follow up queries.
- Flexibility – being willing and able to help internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Able to apply a continuous improvement approach to all responsibilities – always looking for a better way to do things.
- Tertiary qualifications in a financial discipline
