Property & Development Law Graduate
A unique opportunity exists in ABL's Sydney office for a law graduate to join our Property & Development team. This role would suit either a graduate or someone who has recently commenced their career and is looking to join private practice.
This graduate role forms part of a graduate cohort across our Melbourne and Sydney offices. PLT (practical legal training) will be provided as part of the traineeship, with the ability to attend our specialised in-house graduate training.
A Bit About Us
Arnold Bloch Leibler is renowned as the commercial law firm that clients turn to for advice and support on their most complex legal matters, high stakes transactions, disputes and commercial decisions.
We are best known for our work with highly entrepreneurial businesses (ASX listed, and family owned) and high-wealth private clients, and our unparalleled public interest law practice.
We also advise international enterprises and individuals from the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East with interests in Australia and enjoy long-standing relationships with leading hedge funds, private equity firms, insolvency practitioners, accountants, private bankers and law firms across the globe.
The firm is at the cutting edge of law and its implications for businesses, individuals and Australian society as a whole. From our decades of leadership in native title and public interest matters, to advising on complex and high-profile commercial transactions and disputes, ABL drives innovation.
Our internal structure is different from our competitors. Our lawyers are trained to be 'generalist specialists' and are able to straddle a range of different legal problems, as opposed to simply specialising in a narrow field.
This approach requires the ability to think differently - you need to cover more ground and be attuned to a broader range of issues, regularly working with different teams and practitioners across the firm. The feedback from our lawyers is that, whilst more challenging, the satisfaction that comes from achieving outstanding outcomes on our clients' most complex matters is rewarding. They say this approach propels their career development beyond what they imagined possible.
The Property & Development Practice
Our national Property & Development practice is led by a team of pre-eminent Partners who have gained a reputation for understanding our client's needs and achieving outstanding results for them.
The firm's property group adopts a consolidated approach to property and development matters, which is critical for managing time-frames and containing costs. Moreover, the group is unique in terms of its collective experience and depth of expertise, having represented clients in a large number of landmark property and development projects around Australia for nearly half a century.
We advise on the negotiation, drafting, management and enforcement of building and development agreements. Our objective is to provide clients with the legal foundation necessary to assist clients minimise risks and maximise returns from a construction and development project. Our experience in construction litigation also assists clients to manage and resolve potential disputes as economically and favourably as possible.
The team is led by Tyrone McCarthy with Melbourne Partners Kevin Frawley, Gia Cari and Dorian Henneron, and Sydney Partner Matthew Davies.
