City Presentation delivers a range of services that provide clean, well-presented public spaces in the Penrith Local Government Area. About the role
We are seeking a Civil Labourer to immediately join our team on a permanent full-time basis. You will play an important role as a team member within the Civil Operations area of Council's City Presentation Department. You will be required to undertake labouring and other duties as directed and may be required to work in a range of areas including roads, drainage and concreting.
The position requires a commitment to ongoing training, flexibility and multiskilling within the City Presentation Department to develop and maintain the required skills and competencies of the position.
This position operates on a 76-hour fortnight with a Rostered Day Off once a fortnight.
Essential criteria
- General civil labouring experience
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to deal in an appropriate manner with the general public
- Work Safely in the Construction Industry (White) Card
- Knowledge of and commitment to WHS and EEO principles
Commencing Salary: $56, $65,778.00 per annum, plus 12% superannuation and an Adverse Working Conditions Allowance in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award.
You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied. Where a Criminal History Check is required and has returned a result that indicates disclosable court outcomes, you will be required to provide a copy of the report to Penrith City Council, for review, in order to progress through the recruitment process.
