Ongoing Full Time – 76 hours per fortnight

An exciting and rewarding opportunity is available for a suitably qualified Dietitian to join the Allied Health team at Portland District Health.

You are responsible for delivering safe and effective personal care and clinical care, in accordance with the consumer's needs, goals and preferences to optimise their health and well-being. You practice and deliver dietitian services across the acute, subacute, outpatient, aged care, and community based settings within Portland District Health. You support the development of clinical skills in staff placed under your responsibility. You contribute to the quality, safety and risk management programs for the clinical unit/department. You contribute to an environment that is conducive to deliver the four quality goals which are focused on putting the consumer first in everything we do. About you:

• Possession of a tertiary qualification and accreditation as a Dietitian with membership or eligibility for membership with Dietitians Australia.
• Working towards a Post Graduate clinical qualification(s) in speciality area of practice
• Significant level of clinical knowledge, skills and leadership experience in dietetics.
• Demonstrated sound clinical assessment and analysis skills and knowledge, and ability to implement indicated treatments for individuals and groups.
• Understanding of relevant accreditation and funding systems, and demonstrated ability to manage continuous improvement portfolio
• Demonstrated computer literacy, including ability to access and utilise organisational IT systems and emerging technologies which are relevant to the completion of clinical care.
