Tweed Heads, New South Wales, Australia SOCIAL FUTURES LTD Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Embarking on a career journey with Social Futures means becoming part of a mission that goes beyond just a job. We are a voice for social change in regional Australia, with a history spanning over 49 years. Your role within our Housing and Homelessness stream will allow you to:

  • Build a team of high performing workers
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance service delivery
  • Be a vital part of the broader service system that is working towards ending homelessness by fostering partnerships with sector and community stakeholders
  • Lead continuous improvement measures to ensure the highest quality of service

Joining us, you'll guide a team of dedicated individuals who are focused on providing best practice within a case management framework to support people who are experiencing, or who are at risk of homelessness, to achieve safe and stable housing in the community. From developing stakeholder relationships to individual support sessions, your work will be diverse and impactful.

This role is a great opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and be part of a wider movement for social change. Here's how it will help transform your career:

  • Enhance your strategic impact by shaping programs that serve young people, adults, and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

  • Further refine your leadership skills by guiding a diverse team in delivering positive outcomes in a complex environment

At Social Futures, we believe in the value of your voice, and we are dedicated to making positive changes every day. We've got your back in providing a supportive and inclusive workplace, one that celebrates diversity and promotes inclusion. Here, your wellbeing matters to us.

Among the benefits, we offer flexible working options, access to ongoing learning and development, generous salary packaging options, a staff well-being program, and the opportunity to bank additional days leave per year. Additionally, we prioritise safety and uphold that Social Futures isn't just a workplace; it's a community. This contract position is full-time, up to 30 June 2026.

This role can be based out of Tweed Heads, Lismore or Grafton.

Here, we believe in inclusivity, integrity, and learning. Why you'll like working with us:

  • Your voice will be valued and heard in our mission to support positive social change
  • You'll be part of a supportive, diverse, and inclusive environment where we celebrate individuality
  • We prioritise your wellbeing, with benefits such as flexible working options and access to our wellbeing program

We are looking for an experienced leader with a desire to make a difference. The successful candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in social work, social science or social welfare or similar
  • Demonstrated experience in a management role in the social and human services sector
  • Experience in supervising and leading teams in the areas of housing/homelessness or similar, demonstrating ability to understand current trends, legislation, and work within specified frameworks
  • Experience in supervising and leading a team working with people presenting with mental health and/or other complexities
  • Demonstrated knowledge of case management and assertive outreach practices in contemporary service delivery for young people, adults, and families
  • Excellent relationship, negotiation and conflict management skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with government/funders, service providers, staff, peers and key stakeholders in the local community
  • Experience in implementation and monitoring of quality assurance processes including managing risk and program evaluation
