The Opportunity

We're looking for a Project Manager to deliver minor road infrastructure projects and manage third-party works impacting departmental assets. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the right standards.

This role includes site inspections, stakeholder engagement, documentation, procurement, and risk management. You'll use your technical expertise to solve issues, improve processes, and make confident decisions. Clear communication, collaboration, and a focus on quality and safety are essential.

You make decisions based on solid research and technical know-how, and you're confident improving programs or mentoring others. Whether working alone or in a team, you stay proactive, professional, and focused on quality outcomes.

Educational Qualifications / Licenses

• A Degree in Engineering providing eligibility for graduate membership as a Professional Engineer of the Institution of Engineers, Australia.
• A current Driver's Licence is essential.
• Project management experience in road works or a related field, and/or experience in civil works supervision is desirable.

Special Conditions

• A National Police Check (NPC) is required prior to employment in the Department for Infrastructure and Transport which must be renewed every three years.
• Some out of hours and weekend work, along with some intra/interstate travel requiring overnight stays, may be required.

Tenure of Vacancy

Temporary appointment up to two (2) years.

Remuneration

PO2- $88,255 to $97,667 pa + superannuation.
