Team Leader

We are looking for a Team Leader - Support Worker based within Melbourne northern and Western suburbs .

The role of Team Leader - Support Worker involves both leading and mentoring a team, as well as directly supporting people with disability when required. You will have an understanding of the dynamic nature of support work and a dedication to minimising the risks associated with the service, you will provide effective individualised and tailored supports to NDIS participants to enable them to achieve their goals. You will do this whilst considering input from all stakeholders associated with each participant. These supports will promote community inclusion, independence, decision making, choice and control.

You will be responsible for delivering support and services to a caseload of participants under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). You will take responsibility for the delivery of a high quality of service, referrals, rostering, professional development and supervision of a team of Support Workers and positive participant outcomes.

You will ensure a streamlined service for all stakeholders of the team based in Melbourne. The role is full-time , working 28hrs as a Team Leader with a requirement of 10hrs face-to-face Support Work, please note the role will involve travel across multiple sites.

What we are looking for:

• Experience in successfully leading or managing a team;
• Proven experience in achieving desired program outcomes;
• Well-developed knowledge of the Disability Services Sector;
• Skills & experience in working with people with disability;
• Ability to use initiative and handle a variety of activities concurrently and with minimal supervision;
• Highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills;
• Strong organisational, time management and presentation skills;
• Current drivers Licence, including own transport

Please note the following Mandatory Pre-employment Screenings will be required prior to being offered a role with WISE Employment, these will include;

• Australian National Police Check, including Right to work in Australia (conducted by WISE)
• NDIS Workers Screening Check ( fee payable by candidate )
• Working with Children's check (WWCC) ( fee payable by candidate )
