Job Vacancy – Accounts and Administration Officer

OzArk Environment & Heritage is a medium-sized cultural heritage management and ecology company based in NSW. OzArk has a close-knit, dynamic and highly skilled team.

We are currently seeking expressions of interest for the role of Accounts and Administration Officer.

This position is both challenging and rewarding; based in Dubbo and is well-suited for an individual who is a motivated self-starter possessing a proactive approach to teamwork. Either full time or part time hours are available to the right candidate.

Core tasks may include:

  • Provide support to the General Manager and administration team

  • Creation and distribution of invoices

  • Updating of current management systems and spreadsheets

  • Data entry into Xero

  • Assist with the management of Fuel cards, petty cash and travel floats

  • Receipt management

  • Creditor processing and payments

  • Wage processing and payment

  • Debt management and client liaison

  • Processing of timesheets, staff time in lieu, reimbursements and leave

  • Assist management in day to day running of the business

  • Assist with the generation of fee proposals

  • Undertaking the administration of Aboriginal community consultation

  • Assist in keeping compliance databases up to date

  • General office duties as required

To apply for this position, you must have:

  • A Certificate III in Administration or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience with Xero including processing of wages, creditors and invoicing

  • Possess advanced skills in computer applications including Microsoft office word processing, data entry, excel spreadsheets, email and internet.

  • Be accurate and have an eye for detail

  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and achieve deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to work without close supervision in a team environment

  • A current Driver's License (manual licence preferred)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Desirable:

  • Previous bookkeeping experience

  • Debt collection management experience

  • Formal bid writing experience
