Machine Operator – FULL TIME

- Permanent, Full Time (38 hours per week + overtime opportunities)

- AFTERNOON SHIFT - 2.00PM to 10.15 PM

Queensland Sheet Metal is a sheet metal manufacturing company that produces roofing and rainwater goods. The company is looking for full time machine operators to work in the Rollforming Department and working with the rainwater operators us and working in the flashing department using Folders in the warehouse.

REQUIRED SKILLS:-

- Excellent work ethic with attention to detail

- Reliable and with good communication

- Forklift licence

- Experience with (including gutter machines, slitting lines, sheet metal machines) or Flashing machines an advantage

The machine operator will work Monday to Friday, from Afternoon Shift 2.00pm pm. The role involves working both as a solo operator or in a small team at various times.

A multifaceted position the role includes:-

- Receipting orders (paperwork)

- Programming the machines computer to produce necessary products

- Time managing jobs to produce efficiencies in producing products

- Checking work/recognising colours and lengths

- Shifting coils via forklift to machine or by overhead crane

The successful candidate will be competent with most facets of working in a warehouse within a team and must have a forklift licence. You must be reliable and able to work solo at times. Overtime is regularly available
