Technical Analyst
to join our Collaboration Services group within Optus Enterprise Government Technical Assistance Centre (GTAC). This role spans two key domains — Unified Communications (UC) and Networks — supporting the delivery of cutting-edge collaboration solutions to Federal Government and Enterprise customers.
You'll play a hands-on role in designing, implementing, and supporting UC and VC platforms, with a strong focus on
Microsoft Teams
and
network technologies
such as Cisco and Fortinet. You'll work closely with customer stakeholders, delivery teams, and technical specialists to ensure seamless service delivery, while also mentoring junior analysts and driving automation through DevOps practices.
What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver end-to-end collaboration solutions including discovery, planning, low-level design, implementation, and transition to production
- Provide technical support and escalation for managed services aligned to SLAs
- Collaborate with internal teams and customer stakeholders to ensure successful delivery and ongoing service improvement
- Maintain and update technical documentation, disaster recovery plans, and change management records
- Drive automation and efficiency through DevOps practices and scripting
- Operate within an ITIL-based service management framework
- Represent Optus on customer premises, working in partnership to achieve shared goals
What You'll Bring
- Australian Citizenship (mandatory) and eligibility for Government security clearance (NV1 highly desirable)
- Extensive hands-on experience with Microsoft Teams, including deployment, configuration, and support in enterprise environments
- Proven expertise with VOSS for provisioning and managing unified communications platforms
- Strong understanding of unified communications technologies and platforms
- Experience with Cisco UC Manager, CUBE/SBC, Polycom RealPresence, and Cisco Telepresence
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- Ability to work autonomously, manage competing priorities, and perform under pressure
- Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management environments
- DevOps mindset with a focus on automation and continuous improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Collaborative, customer-focused attitude with a passion for delivering results
