Business Development Manager (New Business)
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager – New Business (Salesforce Services) to drive growth by securing new client relationships and expanding our footprint across NSW, VIC, and QLD, with occasional opportunities in WA.
This is a hunter role – your focus will be on winning new business rather than managing existing accounts. Success in this role requires a proven ability to sell complex Salesforce consulting services, develop strong relationships with Salesforce Account Executives, and open doors directly with mid-market and enterprise customers.
As a Sales Executive, you are results-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment. You will play a critical role in helping us achieve our FY26 business goals by positioning ProQuest as the go-to Salesforce partner for Service Cloud, Field Service, and Agentforce solutions
Responsibilities:
● Identify and target potential customers in assigned industries and regions, with a clear focus on net new business development
● Build and maintain strong working relationships with Salesforce Account Executives, aligning on joint go-to-market strategies and opportunities
● Unearth new sales opportunities through networking, events, and direct outreach, converting them into qualified pipeline and long-term clients
● Create business plans and sales strategies designed to hit and exceed revenue targets and quotas
● Manage the entire end-to-end sales cycle: from prospecting and qualification to proposal, negotiation, and closing
● Lead customer discovery sessions to understand requirements and position suitable Salesforce-based solutions
● Collaborate with presales consultants to shape solutions, scope, budget, and timelines that align with client needs
● Deliver compelling stakeholder presentations and articulate the business value of ProQuest's Salesforce solution
● Draft professional proposals and contracts; negotiate effectively to close high-quality deals
● Accurately forecast pipeline, deals, and revenue, and maintain rigorous sales activity records in Salesforce CRM
● Meet or exceed weekly activity KPIs (calls, meetings, pipeline generation, proposals submitted, etc)
● Territory: NSW, VIC, and QLD as primary focus, with occasional WA opportunities (local and interstate travel as required).

Knowledge and Experience:
● years' experience selling IT or consulting services into Mid-Market and Enterprise customers
● Proven success selling cloud platform implementation, digital transformation, or managed services projects
● Experience in the Salesforce ecosystem:
○ Direct employment at Salesforce (current or past), or
○ Consulting/implementation sales at a Salesforce SI partner or competitor, or
○ Sales experience at a Salesforce ISV partner
● Evidence of an active Salesforce AE network and ability to leverage those relationships for new opportunities
● Track record of winning net new logos and meeting/exceeding revenue targets
● Comfortable with weekly sales activity metrics (calls, meetings, pipeline creation) and holding accountability to KPIs
● Skilled in building and maintaining C-level and senior stakeholder relationships
● Knowledge of Salesforce platform value proposition, product ecosystem, and services marketplace
● Strong EQ and business acumen, able to adapt approach to different industries and executives
● Consultative selling skills with a creative problem-solving approach to customer challenges
● Ability to prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals
● Excellent written and verbal communication; polished, persuasive, and customer-centric
● Tech-savvy; confident using SaaS tools (Google Workspace, Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, etc)
