Salesforce Developer

Pay rate:$1,022/day plus Super Contract length: Until 30th June 2026 (extension likely) Location: Sydney CBD / WFH

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer to design, build, test, and deploy tailored solutions on the Salesforce platform. The role requires close collaboration with business analysts, project managers, and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives while following best practice standards. The position also involves providing technical support, maintaining existing Salesforce applications, and managing integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse, design, and develop solutions on the Salesforce platform using Apex, Flow, Visualforce, Lightning, and related technologies.
  • Carry out unit testing, integration testing, and peer reviews to ensure solution quality and performance.
  • Deploy and migrate solutions across environments using tools such as Azure DevOps, ANT, and change sets.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues, providing guidance and technical support to users and stakeholders.
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, design specifications, and user guides.
  • Keep abreast of Salesforce releases, new features, and recommended practices, applying these where relevant.
  • Work effectively with colleagues across development, analysis, and project management teams.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Strong proficiency in Apex, Flow, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and SOSL.
  • Experience with Salesforce Public Sector Solutions and skilled in Omnistudio & Omniscript.
  • Background in developing and consuming Salesforce APIs, web services, and integration tools.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD processes and use of Azure DevOps for automated deployments and version control.
  • Understanding of Salesforce security models, data structures, and governance principles.
  • Proficient in Salesforce development tools such as VS Code, Developer Console, and Workbench.
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and reusable solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • Effective communication and documentation abilities.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification (or equivalent hands-on experience). Certification in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions will be viewed favourably.
