A day in the life... Petstock Double Bay

  • Support the Store Manager and team by delivering trusted, tailored health advice to pet parents - with a strong focus on nutrition, preventative care and overall wellbeing
  • Oversee the in-store grooming and pet school operations
  • Drawing on your veterinary nursing background (or similar pet health role), you will help create a personalised and educational in-store experience that builds customer confidence and loyalty
  • Deliver on specific key performance indicators (KPIs), especially around pet nutrition, parasite prevention, and client education, while contributing to the overall success and professionalism of the store.
  • Maintain advanced understanding of zoonotic & skin diseases and how to identify them
  • Provide exceptional customer service where you and your customer will have memorable, meaningful interactions
  • Through the knowledge you gain, you will inspire and educate customers on the best care and products for their pets
  • Work with your team mates to make sure the store looks its best at all the times, ensuring all the latest stock is on the shelves
  • Be proactive in making sure you keep your knowledge up to date on pet care, products, and services we provide
  • Contribute to a fun, supportive culture instore where the team loves coming to work every day
  • Strong safety mindset with commitment to create a culture of safety within your team

If you have the below experience we would love to hear from you

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of domestic pet health
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships and rapport with customers and your team-mates
  • A commitment to represent the interests of Petstock in areas related to the business, branding and animal care
  • Experience in a clinical/Pet health setting or similar 
  • Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent highly desirable although not essential
  • Ability to be flexible in order to meet changing work conditions
  • Ability to prioritise and manage conflicting priorities
  • Physically fit, with the ability to lift products up to 20kgs
  • Flexibility and ability to work weekends and public holidays
