A leading federal government department is seeking a Test Lead to fill a recent opening in their Grants Platform team on a long-term contract in Canberra (other locations considered).

Overview:

You'll lead and manage testing activities for a large ICT program, ensuring consistency across test disciplines and upholding frameworks, standards, and procedures. This role requires strong leadership in automated and manual testing practices, and the ability to work across complex systems and technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement test strategies, master test plans, quality gates, defect triage, and reporting.
  • Lead and mentor testers across multiple projects, fostering quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive automation testing, supporting tools like EasyRepro and MSTest (C#), and integrate test suites into CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps).
  • Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, and UAT testing, ensuring timely resolution of defects.
  • Track and report testing metrics, KPIs, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Ensure QA compliance, best practices, and contribute to release go/no-go decisions.
Requirements
  • 7+ years' Dynamics 365 CRM/.NET testing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven ability to define and execute test strategies aligned with project goals.
  • Demonstrated experience uplifting testing maturity across people, processes, and tools.
  • Hands-on automation testing and CI/CD integration experience.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Agile/Scrum, and QA best practices.
  • Strong leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder engagement skills.
