About the Opportunity:

We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Payroll Officer to join our Finance Team on a permanent part-time basis. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a vital role in the Accounts Team to ensure the weekly pay runs are completed accurately and in a timely manner each Tuesday and Wednesday.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly pay runs, from auditing timesheets to creating the aba file and ledger journals.
  • Provide reports for senior management
  • Lodge STP weekly
  • Create super payment batches monthly
  • Update system access for team leaders and managers
  • Maintain and issue weekly rosters
  • Maintain automated report packs
  • Be the first point of contact to address and resolve payroll-related inquiries
  • Develop and maintain internal relationships.
  • Other tasks as required.

All About You

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Prior experience with Keypay or Employment Hero ideal but not necessary. Training will be provided.
  • Excellent time management skills and a good eye for detail.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and maintain up to date employee records with utmost confidentiality
  • Ability to interpret awards
  • Positive attitude and can-do approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have initiative and responsibility for the role.
