Role Description

Are you looking for a cozy place to live with a little extra meaning?

We're offering a tiny home for rent, with reduced rent in exchange for overnight caretaking of a doggy daycare facility.

We're ideally looking for someone who:

Has experience working with dogs

Is a qualified Groomer (preferred) or has experience as a Doggy Daycare Assistant

Is reliable, caring, and happy to lend a hand as part of a friendly team

In addition to the reduced rent arrangement, there are also paid daytime hours available — ideally for grooming work, but doggy daycare assistance may also be considered.

(These paid hours are separate from the rental agreement.)

This opportunity will start as a short-term agreement, with the potential for a long-term arrangement following a successful trial period.

Qualifications

  • Experience in pet care, grooming, and handling dogs
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic knowledge of animal first aid and pet health care
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift up to 25kg
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in pet grooming or animal care is a plus
