Perth, Western Australia MPI Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

MPI has partnered with Vault Minerals to appoint Underground Drill Fitters to their Deflector gold mine. Assisting with their transition to an owner-operator model, these roles with be offered on a permanent full-time basis. 

About the role:

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, fault diagnosis, and servicing of underground drill rigs and associated mining equipment
  • Service and maintain Sandvik DD421, DD420, DL431, DL331
  • Conduct breakdown repairs efficiently to minimise downtime
  • Carry out component change-outs and rebuilds according to OEM specifications
  • Liaise with supervisors and other trades to coordinate maintenance activities.

About you:

  • You will possess a strong collaborative approach to work as well as being detailed focused and have a strong focus on outcomes & results
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • We are also looking for people that are committed to getting the task completed and having the right attitude
  • Punctuality along with a great can-do attitude is amust.

Key requirements:

  • Trade qualified Heavy-Duty Diesel Fitter
  • 2+ years post trade experience working in an underground mining environment
  • Familiar with diagnostic tools and software (ET, SIS, SCU)
  • Current C-class driver's licence
  • Hold a current national police clearance.
