Position 1: Head Chef (Full-Time)

Salary: $70,000 – $80,000 + Super (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations with a focus on Nepalese and fusion-style café dishes
  • Create and innovate menu items (momos, curries, thalis, street food)
  • Manage kitchen staff, training, and rostering
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene (HACCP compliance)
  • Monitor inventory, food cost control, and supplier management
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and compliant kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • 2+ years as Head Chef or Senior Chef (Nepalese/South Asian cuisine preferred)
  • Leadership and team management skills
  • Strong understanding of Australian food safety regulations
  • Excellent communication and time management
  • Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery desirable

Position 2: chef(Full-Time)

Salary:$70,000 – $80,000 per year (full-time, depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare a variety of Nepalese dishes, including momos, curries, noodles, and snacks
  • Assist with food prep, service, and maintaining kitchen hygiene
  • Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistency
  • Work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Support Head Chef and contribute to smooth daily operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1–2 years cooking experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Experience with Nepalese or South Asian cuisine preferred but not required
  • Reliable, punctual, and a team player
  • Good understanding of food handling and hygiene standards
