Expression Of Interest - HSE Manager

We are seeking expressions of interest from experienced HSE Managers to lead health, safety, and environmental initiatives on civil and infrastructure projects. The role provides strategic and operational leadership, ensuring safe work practices, compliance with statutory requirements, and continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Main Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Develop and implement project-specific HSE management plans, systems, policies, and procedures aligned with company and client requirements;
  • Champion a proactive safety culture through visible leadership, communication, and engagement across all project teams;
  • Provide guidance and support to project and site personnel on all HSE matters, including risk management for high-impact activities;
  • Oversee incident response, investigation (e.g., ICAM), and reporting, ensuring findings are analysed and appropriate actions implemented;
  • Lead internal and external HSE audits and inspections to verify compliance and drive improvements;
  • Prepare and present regular HSE performance reports, including data analysis and trend monitoring;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and regulators;
  • Mentor and support HSE Advisors and operational leaders to enhance safety capability and awareness.

About You:

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma or Degree in WHS or a related discipline;
  • Proven experience in a senior HSE or safety leadership role in project environments;
  • Experience in high-risk sectors (construction, infrastructure, mining, utilities, oil & gas, or heavy manufacturing);
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001; OFSE experience highly regarded;
  • ICAM or equivalent incident investigation training highly regarded; auditing accreditation advantageous.
