About the role

This is an excellent opportunity to join the dynamic team at Specialist Orthodontists Sydney as an experienced Orthodontic Assistant. You will be working part-time in our Campbelltown practice, providing critical support to our highly skilled orthodontist and OHT's. This role is integral to ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and an exceptional experience throughout their orthodontic treatment.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting the orthodontist during dental procedures, including preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing equipment and maintaining a clean and organized workspace
  • Providing chairside assistance to the orthodontist and OHT's, handing instruments, mixing materials and supporting the overall flow of procedures
  • Ensuring a positive patient experience by greeting patients, answering questions and maintaining clear communication throughout their appointments
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment plans in our database
  • Supporting the wider practice team with administrative duties as required

What we're looking for

  • 2+ years' experience as an Orthodontic Assistant or similar role in a dental practice
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop positive relationships with both patients and colleagues
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to maintain a clean, organized and efficient work environment
  • A genuine passion for healthcare and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care
  • Relevant qualifications or certifications in dental assisting or a similar field would be highly regarded
