to join our team in Orange, NSW.
This is a key role responsible for leading the full tender lifecycle—from opportunity identification through to final submission. You will collaborate closely with the COO and internal stakeholders to develop high-quality, compelling responses that align with client expectations and reflect AWCON's technical and delivery capabilities.
While providing leadership and oversight, you will also take an active role in preparing and delivering tenders, particularly on high-priority bids or during peak workload periods.
About the Role
As the Pre-Contracts Lead, your responsibilities will include:

- Developing and coordinating submission strategies in partnership with estimating, delivery, commercial, and business development teams.
- Writing and refining persuasive, high-quality content across non-price criteria.
- Managing inputs from contributors and ensuring timely, compliant, and competitive submissions.
- Driving continuous improvement of bid tools, templates, and internal processes.
- Supporting and mentoring bid contributors to build internal capability.
About You

We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience managing successful tender submissions, ideally valued over $50M.
- Strong coordination, editing, and written communication skills.
- Sound understanding of procurement processes and client evaluation frameworks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel); experience with InDesign is desirable but not essential.
- Familiarity with, or willingness to adopt, benchmark estimating software is highly regarded.
- A qualification in Construction, Business, Communications, or a related field, or substantial industry experience, with proven expertise in construction as the primary requirement.
Why Join AWCON?
- Competitive salary and genuine opportunities for career progression.
- Contribute to major national infrastructure projects.
- Supportive and high-performing team environment.
- Regional lifestyle in Orange, NSW – with relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
