About the Role

Based in the Darra, the role of Project Manager is directly accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects — ensuring agreed outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. This role manages projects end-to-end, making decisions and taking actions necessary to deliver results. Projects may include manufactured/remanufactured products, engineered products, innovation pipeline projects, corporate strategic initiatives, and other business optimisation programs.

Some of the key deliverables of the role may include:

  • Owns the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring they meet agreed scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
  • Develops and maintains the detailed project schedule, identifying dependencies, critical paths, task ownership, and resource constraints. Actively manages and adjusts plans to achieve deadlines.
  • Identifies, assesses, and manages project risks and issues, implementing mitigation and contingency plans to protect delivery commitments.
  • Directs and coordinates work across all functions — engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and others — to ensure tasks are completed to plan.
  • Maintains control of project budgets, tracking expenditure, forecasting costs, and ensuring financial objectives are met.
  • Makes timely decisions to remove obstacles, resolve conflicts, and maintain momentum.
  • Provides accurate and regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements, risks, and corrective actions.
  • Ensures all project deliverables meet agreed technical and quality standards.
  • Leads lessons-learned reviews and embeds improvements into future projects.
  • Upholds and, where appropriate, challenges internal policies, processes, and standards to improve efficiency and outcomes.

About You

Typically, you come from a strong service-solutions-focused background with the desire to meet customer needs through the adoption of our services. You have strong decision-making, leadership and problem-solving abilities. A high level of organisation and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. The ability to work under pressure, maintain focus on delivery outcomes and communicate with clarity and confidence is essential.

Your background and experience

  • Relevant trade certificate or degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related fields.
  • At least three years of direct project leadership with full accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
  • Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a matrix environment.
  • Demonstrated success delivering projects within agreed parameters.
  • Experience managing project budgets and controlling financial outcomes.
  • Bonus marks for those with Mining, energy or heavy industry experience
