Position Overview

The Diploma Qualified Educator works as part of a professional and passionate team to provide high-quality education and care for children in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), and the philosophy of Seaford Early Learning Centre.

This role is central to developing and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where each child feels valued and supported to reach their full potential.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, implement and evaluate age-appropriate programs.
  • Foster positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and service policies.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's learning and development.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to support the philosophy and values of the service.

Essential Requirements:

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent as approved by ACECQA).
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC).
  • Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis certifications.
  • RRHAN reporting and training requirement is mandatory.
  • All required certifications must be obtained before commencing employment.
  • Strong understanding of EYLF and NQS.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in early childhood education is required.
  • Australian work authorisation is required for this position.

Desirable:

  • Experience working in both Early Learning and OSHC environments.
  • Understanding of inclusive practices and child protection obligations.

Workplace Conditions
  • Indoor and outdoor environments with regular lifting, bending, and active supervision required.
  • Flexible shifts within operational hours as per roster requirements.
  • Must comply with all Seaford ELC health and safety and child protection policies.
