About the Role
As a Contracts Administrator at Rivergum Group, you'll be a key player in ensuring the smooth delivery of our medium-density residential projects. You'll support the Construction Managers and collaborate across teams to manage contracts, documentation, compliance, and scheduling. Your role will span from pre-construction planning to post-completion maintenance, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and stakeholder coordination.
In addition to your office-based responsibilities, you'll conduct regular site visits across metro Adelaide to maintain close alignment with on-site teams, monitor progress, and ensure contract and compliance standards are upheld. These visits are a vital part of maintaining strong relationships, identifying potential issues early, and driving project success through hands-on engagement.
Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing project-specific plans (ITPs, safety, cost, program) and inspection reports
• Managing permits, licences, and statutory approvals
• Monitoring construction schedules and coordinating updates with Construction manager & Site Managers
• Negotiating trade allocations with suppliers and subcontractors
• Ensuring subcontractor compliance with quality systems and documentation
• Coordinating suppliers and attending site coordination meetings
• Managing RFIs, contract variations, progress claims, and purchase orders
• Supporting site teams and contributing to trade tender close outs
• Overseeing WHS compliance and promoting safe work practices
• Maintaining strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and government bodies
Who We Are Looking For
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a solid understanding of Commercial & residential construction and contract administration. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment and bring strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills to the table.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
• Australian Citizen \ Permanent Resident
• Diploma or Certificate IV in Building & Construction and/or Business Management
• White Card or the ability to gain one
• Drivers licence
• Deep knowledge of SA building codes and residential construction techniques
• Experience managing workflow processes and operational plans
• Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities
• Business acumen and budget management
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills
• High attention to detail and analytical thinking
