About the role

The Legal and Governance Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the General Counsel and Company Secretary, as well as to the in-house legal team. This role requires a highly organised and motivated individual with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of legal and administrative duties, contributing to the smooth operation of our legal and governance department.

To be considered for this position, you will require:

  • Working towards tertiary qualifications in business, management, policy, administration, secretarial, legal administration, project or program management, or relevant experience
  • Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a high level or accuracy and attention to detail, including the use of Microsoft suite and the ability to use video conference software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to deal with sensitive information and exercise a high degree of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with proven ability to successfully communicate (written and oral) at a high level, form positive working relationships, adapt to audience, problem solving and proven ability to manage conflicts.
  • Organisational awareness and understanding of the complexity of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services sector.
