What you will be doing

As a Application Support and Maintenance Specialist, you be hands-on actively working on incidents/problems for the finance related ERP applications for a high profile utilities client, contributing to technical discussions and solutions, providing team leadership and mentoring junior members of the team, deploying changes, project work and managing competing priorities.

This role is Adelaide based and onsite (client site) a minimum of 2 days per week.  This is a team lead role. What will keep you busy


• Contribute to software development projects by writing, testing, and debugging code, with an emphasis on complex and critical components.

• Collaborate with team members to meet project requirements, actively participating in design and code reviews.

• Provide technical expertise and support to team efforts, acting as a subject matter expert in specific domains.

• Assist in solving complex technical challenges, researching and proposing solutions.

• Participate in defining software requirements and specifications.

• Debug and troubleshoot production issues, working closely with operations and support teams.

• Contribute to the assessment and adoption of new technologies and best practices.

• Mentor junior team members, providing guidance and knowledge sharing.

The skills you will bring


• Typically, 8 – 12 + years of relevant work experience, with a minimum of 2 in a leadership role within application support.


• Experienced in a customer / client facing support role with an understanding of stakeholder management, communication, escalations, reporting and governance.


• Technical strong with SAAS or hosted web application support, basic SQL, ITIL v3 or v4, windows server, as well as strong vendor management skills.

• Proficiency in 1 or more software languages and development methodologies and has a relevant university degree.

• Strong programming and debugging skills and willingness to take ownership of complex technical challenges

• Familiarity with software development practices and methodologies

• Good team collaboration and communication abilities with the ability to articulate to key internal and external stakeholders/customers/vendors verbally and in writing without technical jargon where needed


•It would be ideal to have supported financial or supply chain mngt application and have experience in mid-range deployment but not essential. Eg, Ellipse, Oracle Fusion or Ivalua
