About the Opportunity
Primary and Community Health Speech Pathology team in South Western Sydney Local Health District are currently recruiting to a temporary full time Speech Pathologist (Level 1/2) based at Bankstown and Fairfield Community Health Centre.
You will be joining a supportive team of speech pathologists and be provided with clinical supervision and support. New graduate speech pathologists are welcome to apply.

What You'll be Doing
To provide a high quality speech pathology service to paediatric clients and their carers to ensure optimal health outcomes. This encompasses ensuring effective and efficient assessment and intervention in a multidisciplinary setting to paediatric clients presenting with a variety of communication disorders and complex needs. The speech pathologist is also responsible for undertaking designated non-clinical tasks to support service delivery including clinical supervision, quality improvement activities and administrative tasks.

SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

- Must hold a bachelor or post graduate degree in speech pathology which is accredited as eligibility for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge, experience and skills in assessing and managing paediatric clients (0-12 years) with a variety of communication disorders and demonstrated commitment to continued professional development and commitment to evidence based practice.
- Demonstrated experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse, vulnerable and/or at risk communities ensuring the provision of client/family centred care.
- Knowledge of, and ability to use multidisciplinary teamwork, and to collaborate with other services/organisations relevant to case management and service delivery.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
