The Role:

We are looking for a motivated Cookto contribute to the success of our kitchen operations. The position will work closely with the Head Chef/Director and the duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

o Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes per menu —pasta, risotto, meat and seafood mains, antipasti, and side vegetables etc

o Assist Neapolitan pizzas preparation (dough handling, stretching, topping, and baking in our stone oven)

o Prepare sauces, stocks, dressings, and components using fresh, high‑quality ingredients

o Dice, slice, julienne, mince, and portion ingredients with precision for mise en place

o Plate, garnish and present dishes to high standards of consistency and aesthetics

o Monitor food quality, taste, seasoning, and consistency

o Maintain kitchen cleanliness, equipment, and food safety standards (HACCP, FIFO, temperature control, sanitation)

o Assist in receiving, inspecting, and organising deliveries and inventory

o Work collaboratively with the head chef, kitchen team and front‑of‑house to coordinate timing and service during busy periods

o Occasionally help with menu development or special promotional dishes

Selection Criteria / Requirements

o Prior experience (1 year preferred) cooking Italian cuisine and, ideally, Neapolitan pizza

o Knowledge of high‑hydration doughs, fermentation (biga / preferment) and oven techniques (stone / wood-fired or stone oven)

o Skilled in vegetable prep (dice, slice, julienne), sauce making, pasta, grilling, roasting, sautéing

o Understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and proper handling of ingredients

o Reliability, punctuality, and ability to work under service pressure

o Team player, adaptable and able to take direction

o Strong attention to detail and passion for food quality & presentation
