About the role:

We are seeking a Casual Level 3 professional and people-focused Security Officer to join our team at a prestigious school in Sydney's CBD. This is a full-time, Monday-to-Friday role where you will play a key role in ensuring the safety and security of students, staff, and visitors while providing excellent customer focused service.

As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for maintaining a welcoming yet secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols of the premises, provide access control and be the first point of contact for any Incident responses. Your ability to balance security responsibilities with strong interpersonal and communication skills will be essential to your success in this role.

Employment Type: Casual

Roster/Hours: Afternoon Shifts, Monday-Friday

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the security of the school and surrounding premises.
  • Access Control
  • Conduct regular patrols of the designated areas.
  • Incident Response

Skills & Experience:

  • Current 1AC Security Licence (Required)
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (Required)
  • Valid Police Check (Required)
  • Current Working with Children Check (Required)
  • Previous experience in security or school roles (Highly regarded)
  • Strong computer literacy skills (Highly regarded)
  • Excellent presentation and grooming standards
  • A confident, welcoming attitude with high-level observation skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication and report-writing skills
  • Physically fit and capable of performing the required duties
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday
