Join Centennial as a Mine Mechanical Superintendent, leading mechanical engineering operations at their Western Region site.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant engineering practices.

This permanent opportunity offers a chance to shape standards, mentor teams, and contribute to business planning.

What you'll be doing

• Act as the Mechanical Engineering Manager as defined in the Coal Mine Health & Safety Act and Regulation
• Set standards of engineering practice and provide high-level technical expertise
• Ensure mechanical tradesmen and coordinators have the skills and direction to achieve production and maintenance goals
• Implement Mine Safety and Environmental Management Systems
• Manage statutory compliance and develop engineering standards
• Develop and review equipment KPIs, performance criteria, and reporting systems
• Mentor tradespersons and support mine-wide engineering improvements
• Prepare business plans and notifications in line with guidelines

What we're looking for

• Advanced Diploma of Mechanical Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)
• Current Practicing Certificate
• Certificate IV or Diploma in Project Management
• Occupational First Aid (desirable)
• Risk Management qualifications (G2/G3) (desirable)
• Certificate IV Leadership & Management (desirable)
• Contract Management experience (desirable)
