About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Shutdown Supervisor to join our growing Queensland team in Mackay. This permanent, full-time role is ideal for a hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and takes pride in delivering high-quality work while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead shutdown crews with a hands-on approach
  • Liaise with clients and internal teams to build strong working relationships
  • Scope pre-shutdown works to ensure safe and timely execution
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company KPIs
  • Provide tools, resources, and guidance to ensure successful project delivery
  • Complete post-shutdown reporting, including timesheets and project close-out

Qualifications & Experience

  • Mechanical trade qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in mining or shutdown environments
  • Proven experience with bulk material handling equipment (e.g. crushers, feeders, scrubbers, belt filters, pumps)
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook); Microsoft Project exposure desirable
  • Current certifications:
  • Mining Supervisor G189 & Risk Facilitator G2
  • CBM (Coal Board Medical)
  • Standard 11
  • Confined Space
  • Gas Test Atmospheres
  • Working at Heights
