About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HME Shutdown Planner for a 6-month contract based in Mackay, working a Monday to Friday roster. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating major component change-outs and shutdown maintenance activities on a range of heavy mobile equipment (CAT, Komatsu, Hitachi, etc) across all their QLD projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain shutdown schedules using planning software (Using AMT)
  • Coordinate parts, tooling, labour, and contractor requirements for planned shutdowns
  • Liaise with maintenance supervisors/superintendents, procurement, and OEM representatives
  • Ensure shutdown plans align with maintenance strategies and equipment availability targets
  • Monitor and report on shutdown progress and post-shutdown reviews

What You'll Need:

  • Proven experience as a Shutdown Planner or Maintenance Planner in the mining industry
  • Strong knowledge of HME, particularly in mining applications
  • Proficiency in AMT or similar CMMS
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills
  • Relevant trade or engineering qualifications (preferred)
