The Health Security Department (HSD) at Townsville University Hospital is a vital part of Campus Operations within Facilities and Integrated Support Services. With approximately 60 staff, the department delivers contemporary, safe, and best-practice physical and personal security services across TUH, Kirwan Health Campus, and Joyce Palmer Health Service on Palm Island.

About your opportunityAs Assistant Manager (Training), you will lead the development and delivery of mandatory and role-specific training for Health Security Officers. You'll drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with safety standards, and support a culture of person-centred care and professional excellence across Townsville HHS sites.
Requirements- Certificate IV in Training and Assessing, or ability to rapidly acquire.
- CPPSEC3111 Restrain persons using handcuffs, or ability to rapidly acquire.
- Ability to operate a class C motor vehicle with appropriate licence endorsement.
- Experience in workforce training, preferably in health or emergency services.
- A probationary period may apply.
