We're looking for someone who loves music, connects well with children, and enjoys helping students discover the joy of learning piano in a supportive and creative environment.

About the Role

We're seeking a warm, enthusiastic Piano Teacher to join our growing team on a casual basis.

This role is ideal for teachers who enjoy working with beginner to intermediate students and who value creating positive, engaging lessons that build confidence and musical understanding.

Lesson times vary from week to week and are typically scheduled:

• Weekdays: 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
• Saturdays: 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Lessons are held mainly during school terms, with some opportunities for extra work during school holidays.

What You'll Do

• Teach both private and group piano lessons in a friendly, encouraging environment.
• Keep student progress reports up to date for each student.
• Plan and deliver lessons that inspire growth and enthusiasm for music.
• Maintain a professional and caring approach with students, families, and colleagues.

• Has a genuine passion for music and teaching.

• Is organised, prepared, and professional in communication.
• Is punctual and dependable.
• Is open to feedback and always willing to improve.
• Enjoys being part of a collaborative, supportive team.

What You'll Need

• Minimum Grade 5 AMEB (or equivalent such as ABRSM or Trinity).
• Current Working With Children Check (or willingness to obtain one).
• Availability during after-school hours and/or Saturday mornings and afternoons.
• A love of helping students build strong, confident musical foundations.

Successful applicants will complete training during November and December, with the opportunity to meet their new students in December for introductions and planning. Teaching will officially begin in January when Term 1 starts.
