About the role
We are looking for a special kind of person – a St Vincent's kind of person. Someone who puts compassion, connection and caring for other people at the heart of everything they do. 
As a Personal Care Assistant (previously known as Assistant in Nursing) you'll be part of an experienced, caring and dedicated team helping to create a welcoming, professional and supportive care experience for the residents of St Vincent's Care Services Mitchelton. They provide direct care and assistance to resident with all activities of daily living. They partner with residents to support their daily routine, lifestyle and choices and ensure they feel safe, valued, respected and engaged. This position is to work as an effective household member and is supervised, providing care for residents in a specific household. They are responsible for assisting and supporting their wellbeing through professional, caring and efficient execution of required duties.
All positions contribute to the provision of quality and sustainable health services within the ethos of the philosophy, mission, values and ethics of St Vincent's Health Australia.

Things that work for us:
- Available to work as part time permanent employee during weekdays with minimum 6 days per fortnight commitment 
- Flexible to do any shifts (AM, PM, Night) 
- Understanding Dementia and highly experienced working with Dementia clients 
- Previous experience in a similar role 
- Certificate III in Individual Support / Certificate III Aged Care or similar qualification essential 
- Ability to use computerised clinical management software such as Autumn Care 
- Ability to follow directives as per care plan 
- An ability to work within a multidisciplinary team 
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) or NDIS Worker Screening Check
