About the RoleWorking in a fun and lively environment, the Chef de Partiedemonstrates strong leadership qualities and attention to detail in elevating a competitive edge. The CDP is accountable for the quality and consistency of all food items made in their station, including the efficiencies, consistencies, training and accountability of costs associated with the kitchen. The CDP works directly with the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the creation, development and implementation of new dishes and creative menu developments.
- Estimate, food and costs in consultation with the Head Chef based on the available budget
- Order food supplies based in consultation with the Head Chef based on seasonal produce of the highest quality
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Participate in selecting and training staff
- Responsible for complete set up, cleanliness and organization of all kitchen areas
- "Hands on Approach" to assigning tasks of allocated labor ensuring maximum results and daily production needs are met in a timely, organized, and efficient manner
- Facilitate all health, safety and sanitary regulations and standards according to health department

Naturally, your previous experience within a luxury hospitality setting, will come highly regarded. As will the following:
- Proven CPD experience
- Ability to build, lead and mentor junior staff
- Diploma (or higher) in commercial cookery
- High-level competencies in all aspects of cooking in a section
- Ability to understand complex instructions and material
- Advanced time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong knowledge of best cooking practices
- Food safety supervisor certificate
- Current first aid certificate (preferred)
