We aim to make navigating the NDIS straightforward, offering free consultations to guide individuals through their NDIS plan, helping them understand their options and make the most out of their funding.

Role Description

This is a casual role with provision for part time or fulltime hours for a Disability Mentor located in Adelaide, SA. The Disability Mentor will be responsible for providing personalized support and mentorship to individuals with disabilities, assisting them in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their daily living skills. Daily tasks include providing emotional support, facilitating social and community participation, and working closely with individuals to ensure they have the resources and guidance they need to thrive. The mentor will also collaborate with families, carers, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with accessing community, education, and employment opportunities
  • Foster positive relationships built on trust and respect
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with care teams and stakeholders

Essential qualifications and certificates

  • Certificate IV in Disability
  • Current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • First Aid & CPR Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
