The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity awaits you as a Senior Associate or Special Counsel in our insurance team. We are looking for a number of practitioners to join us in our Brisbane office, with high quality work on offer in the liability and general insurance space with a focus on property damage. If you like the sound of working with blue chip insurer clients alongside preeminent leaders in the industry – we just might be a perfect match

About Us

We are Barry Nilsson (BN), a specialist national law firm with a 60+ year history and over 450 staff. We don't practise in everything, just in what we know (and what we know well) which is Insurance & Health, Family Law and Wills & Estates.

About You

  • You are an experienced practitioner in the defendant insurance space
  • You can efficiently manage your own file load
  • You enjoy building client relationships and doing an excellent job for your clients
  • You remember what it was like being a junior practitioner and how important mentoring is, and are happy to pass your expertise on
  • You are an all-rounder, a problem-solver, you like collaboration and you understand the importance of people and having strong working relationships
