Deputy Manager, Social Work

Up to 80 hours per fortnight (ADO if full time)
$67.95 Per Hour + Salary Packaging
About The Role**
A rare opportunity to combine direct clinical Social Work with operational leadership. The Deputy Manager Social Work West supports the Allied Health Manager by balancing clinical practice with coordination, workforce development and service management. You'll also play an active role in the broader Social Work and Allied Health leadership teams.

The Social Work team at Grampians Health West is a collaborative and innovative group of 8+ clinicians working across Horsham, Stawell and Edenhope. The team is committed to improving psychological and social wellbeing, ensuring patients' social, emotional and cultural needs are met, and minimising the impact of illness and hospitalisation. Peer support and knowledge sharing are core to the way the team works, with regular in-services, professional development, and access to study leave supporting ongoing growth and career development.

• Provide direct Social Work services while leading and mentoring staff
• Support allocation of resources and workforce planning
• Ensure patient social, emotional and cultural needs are met
• Collaborate with a dynamic team and foster knowledge sharing
• Access study leave, in-services and professional development

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical Social Work across West campuses
• Support and guide Social Work workforce
• Monitor and allocate resources effectively
• Drive service quality and continuous improvement
• Build collaboration within Social Work and Allied Health leadership teams

Skills & Experience

• Tertiary qualification in Social Work (AASW eligible)
• Post-graduate study in clinical practice, leadership or management (or working towards)
• Strong clinical background with leadership capability
• Experience in health sector management or quality improvement
• Current Victorian Driver Licence
