About us
With a strong emphasis on a quality food and beverage offering, our venue provides a full A la Carte menu, as well as a quality bar menu that is available throughout our 70 seat heritage listed restaurant, traditional bar and beer garden. Catering to a corporate clientele and locals alike we also host many events with extensive canape menus in our first floor cocktail bar. All menus are serviced from the same kitchen and brigade.
About the role
The right candidate will have a strong background in gastro pub kitchens, a good knowledge of traditional and modern European cooking techniques and experience in all areas of a kitchen. You will have successfully held the position of 'Chef de Partie' (or higher), looking for career progression and with the professional ability to run each section in the absence of those senior to you.

About you
The successful candidate will have a passion for producing quality food, be career focused and have strong leadership qualities. Other key skills and experience will include:

12 months experience in the same or similar position

Experienced in European cookery

Good knowledge of food produce

Good communication and leadership skills

Strong work ethic

Be organized & work well under pressure

Work well in a team environment

Be flexible with rostered shifts
With a standard working week of 38 hours plus a reasonable amount of overtime, the position will afford you a good work / life balance. There is a share of the tips too; they won't buy you a house but they will help you enjoy your time away from work.
