We're hiring an
Automation Test Engineer
to design, develop, maintain, and scale test automation frameworks for complex control and autonomous systems.

You will work on software that supports real-world robotics and mining automation, creating automated tests, integrating them into delivery pipelines, and enhancing the verification of microservices and distributed control systems prior to release.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working closely with code, collaborating with engineers across disciplines, and refining processes to increase system reliability.

What You'll Be Responsible For

  • Designing and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python and Robot Framework.
  • Developing automated API, integration, and system-level tests for microservice-based software.
  • Integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Docker) to support continuous integration.
  • Collaborating with software, systems, and controls engineers to define and verify functional requirements.
  • Performing verification and validation of control and autonomous software.
  • Analysing and documenting results, identifying root causes, and implementing improvements.

Git, GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence

CAN Bus, DDS, ROS/ROS2, Linux

Testing Focus:
API automation, microservices, integration and system verification, performance and regression testing

What You'll Bring To The Role

  • Your extensive experience in developing automation frameworks with Python.
  • Your practical knowledge of Robot Framework for web and API testing.
  • Your background in integrating automated tests into CI/CD environments using GitLab or similar platforms.
  • Your familiarity with Linux, containerisation, and distributed systems.
  • Your understanding of verification and validation methods for control or robotics software.
